Saturday was the main competition.  Our qualifying score matched us against our Achilles tire teammate Dirk Stratton for Top 32.  In the Top 32, Matt and Dirk had a solid battle.  Matt had a very respectable lead run and followed Dirk with excellent proximity. One judge voted for Matt and the other two judges voted for a One More Time battle.  Matt again had great proximity in his follow run, but on his lead run Matt made contact with the wall and had to straighten to save the car, giving the win to Dirk.  While the weekend had come to an end sooner than the team had hoped, everyone was very proud of what we had accomplished and the good memories that had been created.  The team would also like to formally congratulate Dirk, who went on to battle in the Top 16.
